Job Purpose (Significance of the role & Objectives)

We are looking for seasoned professionals in the Brakes Design Of the automobile Industry to work on ECE/FMVSS, Braking systems, and vehicle dynamics development for braking. In this role, you will plan and execute vehicle-level activities as per plans developed in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and external vendors/suppliers.


Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Braking system design by ECE/FMVSS/IS regulations.
  • Responsible for performing key Braking performance calculations.
  • Working closely with vendors for all the components of the brake system. To provide data and development of the system by the regulation.
  • Responsible for Braking system DFMEA and FMEA.
  • Repetitive braking thermal and braking loss calculation. Thermal calculations of rotors and cooling requirements in collaboration with the CFD Team.
  • Packaging analysis using commercial CAD software and Drawing preparation of the components.
  • Vehicle level test and validation planning and early detection of potential problems.
  • Responsible for Vehicle dynamics development program in the field of Braking.
  • ABS/ESC – vehicle-specific tuning and requirement statement capability.


Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

  • BE degree in Mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Experience in Homologation and full vehicle development requirements is highly desirable.
  • Excellent in material science and selection and thermal calculations.
  • Drawing Generation, GD&T,3D geometry creation, BOM creation, vendor development.
  • Overall Work experience of 04 - 08 years in the passenger car braking system domain. Have been part of multiple vehicle launches and complete development cycles.
